From the Station to the Nations – Kingfisher FM is a Christian radio station with a mandate to make God’s Word accessible to everyone, everywhere, at any time. Let’s take you back to 1994, when a passionate group of Jesus followers had a big vision and calling: to start a Christian radio station that could bring Christs hope and the Gospel to their community.
It wasn’t an easy road—they had to prove to the broadcasting authorities that Nelson Mandela Bay needed this station. So, they rolled up their sleeves, went door to door collecting signatures, held marches, and organized public events. Their hard work paid off, and that’s how Kingfisher FM was born!
At Kingfisher FM, we’re all about being a Christ-centered radio station. We love partnering with local churches to see God’s Kingdom grow in Nelson Mandela Bay. Our main mission? To walk in obedience to Jesus and spread His message of hope and salvation.
The beauty of radio is that it goes where the people are—homes, hospitals, cars, shopping centers and even streamed on cell phones while folks are working or unwinding. We aim to reach places that pastors and missionaries often can’t.
